How did you begin working with Henkel?
I was recruited through a classmate of mine in the accounting course I was taking at college. I started as a Credit and Collection Associate (1 Level). I was reporting to the Assistant Credit Manager at that time. Then I moved on to a Credit and Collection Associate (2 Level), later moving up to an Assistant Credit Manager, afterwards Credit Manager and finally to Senior Credit Manager.

What makes your working environment special?
We actually work in a very open environment. There are no offices within our facility; we all work very closely together. This is a helpful learning experience for everyone and the back and forth communication.
 
What distinguishes Henkel from others?
Henkel's biggest difference is the communication process between all levels of the employees. I feel that everyone is very open-minded. At the location where I’m working, we participate in monthly partner meetings where everyone is involved. Both good and bad news is communicated throughout the company. I think that this is one of the key benefits. Other aspects are the opportunities available to everyone in the company.

What projects have you worked on?

• Order to Cash project team member for SAP implementation projects for the Consumer Adhesives and Cosmetics Toiletries divisions.
• Assisted in the development of the Henkel Financial Services, Order To Cash shared services organization for Henkel North America.
• Project team member for the International Data Harmonization process to implement a Global Customer Master database.

Did you have a mentor?
I didn’t have one in particular. I learned best from the all the people who were around me.

What piece of advice would you give to people starting at Henkel?
Enjoy what you do, take advantage of all the opportunities the business is providing you and learn as much as you can.
