Henkel sponsors action-packed adventure off the Thai coast
Düsseldorf, Germany / Gulph Mills, Penn., December 8, 2006 - Surrounded by tropical forests, mysterious seas and an impressive backdrop, 20 four-man crews will face the nautical challenges off the coast of Thailand. The Rubson Raid Turquoise will take place December 9 - 16. Teams from Asia, North Africa, Western Europe and - for the first time - Russia will compete. Henkel is supporting the event as a co-sponsor. More than 50 journalists from nine countries will be attending to report on the contest.
The Rubson Raid Turquoise is a combination of speedboat racing and on-shore sporting challenges. Above all, the crews have to demonstrate teamwork and navigating skills while traveling the ocean at high speed. This year, the program includes events for water-skiers and swimmers as well as the high-tech rubber speedboats. The on-shore program includes trekking.
Henkel sponsors the Rubson Raid Turquoise with its Rubson® brand of waterproofing materials. The brand is known for its sealant products, waterproof coatings, humidity absorbers, anti-corrosion treatments, etc. The Rubson brand product range is available in France, Benelux, Spain and Portugal. In Germany, the brand goes by the name "Ceresit."
