Henkel Names Paul De Bruecker to Head Schwarzkopf & Henkel in the US and Canada

Paul De Bruecker has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager of Schwarzkopf & Henkel, a division of Henkel Consumer Goods Inc., for the U.S. and Canada. Schwarzkopf & Henkel markets innovative lines of hair care and personal care brands including göt2b, L.A. LOOKS, Dep, Citré Shine, Smooth 'N Shine, and Zero Frizz.
GULPH MILLS, PA, August 1, 2005 - Paul De Bruecker has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager of Schwarzkopf & Henkel, a division of Henkel Consumer Goods Inc., for the U.S. and Canada. Schwarzkopf & Henkel markets innovative lines of hair care and personal care brands including göt2b, L.A. LOOKS, Dep, Citré Shine, Smooth 'N Shine, and Zero Frizz. Headquartered in Irvine, California, the business doubled its size in 2004 through the acquisition of Advanced Research Laboratories (ARL).

De Bruecker is a native of Belgium and will relocate to California. He has more than 15 years of international sales and marketing experience with Henkel and was most recently General Manager of Schwarzkopf & Henkel in Austria. De Bruecker also served as marketing director and as a Key Account Director for Schwarzkopf & Henkel in Dusseldorf, Germany, and a marketing director for Schwarzkopf & Henkel in Moscow.

De Bruecker succeeds Thomas Parr, who managed the successful integration of ARL into Schwarzkopf & Henkel. Parr served as President and CEO of Schwarzkopf & Henkel since January 2004, when Henkel acquired the business conducted by Advanced Research Laboratories, the business that Parr founded.
